Flexibility for durable materials

To produce a durable material, you need to allow for some flexibility of the plastic part, adhesive or coating, Our dimer-based monomers and polyesters can help you formulate your product to withstand mechanical stresses and fatigue.

Flexible bio-based polyols

The non-crystalline structure of our Pripol dimer fatty acid, Priamine dimer diamine monomers, and Priplast polyester polyol, offer great flexibility. Paired with low Tg, we guarantee stress absorption also at low temperatures for your product. In addition, our products show no strain hardening enabling long-lasting flexibility and high elongation.

Polyester engineering plastics can be modified by copolymerising with special diols or diacids. Our Pripol dimer acid is a branched C36 di-carboxylic acid. When incorporated into a resin, its non-crystalline nature brings excellent flexibility over a wide range of temperatures. The technology is also available in the diol form. Pripol dimer acids and dimer diols are made from natural fatty acids, resulting in a 100% renewable carbon content.
